We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join our finance team. As a Assistant Controller, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, preparing financial statements, and providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making. You will work closely with the Finance Director and shared service team in China to ensure the timely and efficient completion of all financial reporting and analysis tasks.

How You'll Create Possibilities

  • Month-End Close & Reporting: Manage the monthly closing process, including sub-ledger closure, general ledger control review, and overall closing activity review.

  • Shared Services Collaboration: Partner with the China shared services team to ensure accurate accounting entries are recorded.

  • Billing & Revenue Management: Oversee headcount and cost-plus billing, including monthly management, tracking receipts, and account reconciliation.

  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Prepare team-level budgets, track actual performance against budget, and report variances to stakeholders.

  • Cost Optimization: Identify cost-saving opportunities and strategically recommend additional spending for unforeseen critical activities.

  • Financial Controls & Hygiene: Review account reconciliations prepared by the shared services team and ensure strong financial controls are maintained.

  • Treasury Management: Partner with the China Treasury team to manage treasury-related activities.

  • Accounts Payable & Fixed Assets: Oversee accounts payable (AP) and fixed assets (FA) processes handled by the China shared services team.

  • Procurement & Approvals: Oversee purchase requisition (PR)/purchase order (PO) processes and act as the finance approver for all functional costs.

  • Accrual Management: Monitor month-end accruals for unbooked costs.

  • Travel & Expense Oversight: Oversee travel and employee reimbursement processes managed by the Concur third-party tool.

What You'll Bring to Our Team

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience with a multinational corporation, ideally including Controllership and/or FP&A experience.

  • Strong understanding of financial accounting and basic tax filing principles.

  • Leverage strong MS Excel skills for data compilation and cost modeling.

  • Quick learner with a working knowledge of SAP.

  • Team player with strong analytical and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-cultural and cross-functional teams.

  • Proactive problem-solver with a change-agent mentality and a self-starting initiative.

  • Thrive in fast-paced environments and embrace continuous change.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fluent in English.
