How You'll Create Possibilities

Implement and execute the Quality Management System (QMS) for appliances manufacturing plant operations to drive quality, safety, and reliability in products and processes. Provide support to the GEA plant in the US, Mabe plant in Mexico, and Central Quality and New Product Introduction (NPI) teams. Ensure that plant teams adhere to the quality policy, quality system manual, and Quality System Procedures (QSPs). Lead the digitization of QMS at plant sites, including audit web and End of Line Audits (EOLA). Develop measures to protect quality defects from reaching consumers. Provide feedback to the QSP authors. Identify gaps in QSP requirements and help define plans to address gaps. Coach cross-functional teams on the creation of QMS documentation compliant with QSPs. Support manufacturing operations in maintaining the QMS, including ISO certifications. Prepare the plant quality team for external surveillance audits and re-certifications. Provide feedback on the QMS and NPI processes to aid in process implementation and compliance. Collaborate on opportunities to determine optimal business standards and methods to standardize practices. Lead all-plant QMS meetings to deliver QMS changes needed to support business objectives. Carry out job duties by communicating in English and Spanish to customers, vendors, and employees located in the United States and Mexico.

What You'll Bring to Our Team

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Engineering (any) or a related field

  • 7 years of progressively responsible post-Bachelor’s degree experience in a related occupation.

  • 7 years of experience in the manufacturing industry;

  • 5 years of experience with ISO requirements, Quality Management Systems, and quality processes;

  • 3 years of experience implementing core tools, including Advanced Product Quality Planning, Production Part Approval Process, Statistical Process Control, Measurement Systems Analysis, and Failure Mode & Effects Analysis; and

  • 3 years of experience developing control plans.

25% domestic and international travel required. Fluency in Spanish required. Telecommuting may be permitted. When not telecommuting, must report/appear into/at 4000 Buechel Bank Road, Louisville, KY 40225.
